It also fits into a conventional urn alcove (columbarium) and is suitable for a burial in an urn grave.

A small urn can either serve as child urn, be used for a separation of the ash or receive a part of of the ash as a momento, after most of it has been disseminated. It is also possible to set aside a small keepsake of the deceased person with the ash - may it be a piece of jewellery, a ring, a wisp of hair, a small picture or another personal object. It is a consoling thought to set aside a small, personal keepsake in a special container and therefore, making it subsumable. Especially in a moving society like ours, a palpable memory can create the possibility of slowly letting go and can serve as a valuable alternative to visiting a cementary.
